Stroke Alert ~ Mark Wednesday, May 12, on your calendar! That is the day when Wisconsin residents join together in Wisconsin Stroke Alert, a statewide, one-day intensive public campaign to educate all the people of the state about the signs and symptoms of stroke—and about the importance of calling 911 immediately if those symptoms appear. Know these warning signs: weakness or numbness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body SUDDEN confusion, trouble speaking or understanding SUDDEN trouble seeing in one or both eyes SUDDEN trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination SUDDEN severe and unusual headache Stroke Strikes Suddenly.
