Each October, St. Bernadette Parish honors St. Francis of Assisi, who is well known for his love of nature, by having a pet blessing that takes place in our Grotto. While dogs are the most prevalent pet present, there has been a variety of animals over the years--such as cats, rabbits, gerbils, and hamsters, to name a few.
