The Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation (WRISA) announced at its fall meeting that St. Bernadette School of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has achieved accreditation from the association. St. Bernadette School and over 245 other private schools have attained this distinction.
"We applaud the accomplishments of St. Bernadette School and commend it for maintaining the high standards of the association," said Beatrice Weiland, Executive Director of WRISA.
WRISA standards cover school philosophy, school and community relations, administration and governance, professional staff, school climate, curriculum, instructional materials and resources, student services, physical facilities, and planning and management.
WRISA is a member of the National Federation of Nonpublic School State Accrediting Associations (NFNSSAA). Other state chapters include Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, and Missouri.
"Any Wisconsin nonpublic school is eligible to apply to WRISA for entry into the accreditation process," said Weiland. "For more information, visit the WRISA website: www.wrisa.net."
