The American Cancer Society recommends the following four steps to help you prevent cancer:
- Maintain a healthy weight throughout your life.
- Eat 5 or more servings of a variety of vegetables and fruits each day.
- Be physically active for 30 minutes or more at least 5 days a week. (Consult with your medical doctor before starting an exercise program.)
- Do not use tobacco products.
